Christmas time is here...

'Tis the season to be chilly! I thought that I would try my hand at crocheting and my first project... a handy dandy ear warmer. This was a very easy project that allowed me to feel quite accomplished with little effort!

How is it done you ask?

1. Chain stitch several times until the length of the chain circles the circumference of your noggin from underneath the base of the head to the forehead. Make sure that it is a little snug as it will stretch with wear.

2. Join the chain with a slip stitch and then double crochet in each chain stitch all the way around.

3. 3rd row: single crochet all the way around, slip stitch with the 2nd row.

4. 4th row: double crochet all the way around, slip stitch with the 3rd row.

5. 5th row: single crochet all the way around, slip stitch with the 4th row.

6. 6th row: double crochet all the way around, slip stitch with the 5th row.

7. 7th row: single crochet all the way around, slip stitch with the 6th row and then tie off.

8. At the joint of the rows wind a long piece of yarn around the piece several times and then knot at desired width of the knot.

Enjoy!

This is such a great starter piece because you can hide the seam of your rows, which can be tricky to keep straight when you first start crocheting.

So fun! I am ready for another project... Bring it on yarn, bring it on!
